Tassimo T65 Coffee Maker Review – Latte Machiato

I know that I typically post videos on technology. But hey techies love coffee too. So I thought I would share with you my favorite coffee maker. It was recommended by my friend Edie. We had another machine that ground the coffee. It was good coffee, but it was messy. I am a starbucks coffee drinker. The Tall No Foam Latte guy. When at home this curbs my craving for starbucks. After a while I actually started preferring this over it. It makes regular coffee and the fancy ones as well. Unlike other coffee makers it heats the milk and makes a great single cup of coffee. No mess. Check it out. www.tabletsforme.com

North Carolina Appeals Court Rules in Favor of HEST Technologies’ Sweepstakes

HEST supplies software to cyber and internet cafes.

Haltom City, TX (PRWEB) January 12, 2011

For the second time in as many months, a North Carolina court has ruled in favor of HEST Technologies and its right to conduct lawful sweepstakes via video games in the state. The Appeals Court ruling came as a result of the state’s request to close sweepstakes and cyber cafes across North Carolina until an appeal against an earlier court ruling, G. S. 14-306.4, regarding sweepstakes could be heard.

In November of last year, a Guilford County Superior Court Judge ruled that the Dec. 1, 2010 ban on sweepstakes machines was partially unconstitutional, and allowed HEST Technologies and one other sweepstakes software company protection under the 1st amendment.

“We’re not just lucky,” said Chris Canard, president of HEST. “It’s clear we are a lawful business, conducting promotional sweepstakes in a lawful manner. For the state to selectively choose to ban our industry while we are in full compliance with the law doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.”

“Our systems are legal. We meet all the legal requirements and address all consumer fraud issues,” Canard continued. “We are simply asking that small businesses be allowed to conduct the same types of promotions Pepsi and McDonalds conduct. “

HEST Technologies develops sweepstakes promotional systems for retail businesses and is authorized in several states to conduct sweepstakes in conjunction with the sale of retail products. HEST follows industry sweepstakes standards such as employing single finite prize pools, something no other video sweepstakes provider in the business does.

Macron in Times Square: Macron Actuators Bring Pop-Tart Varietizer to Life at Pop-Tarts World™

Macron’s MSA- M6S Actuators Featured on the Front of the Varietizer

        Croydon, PA (Vocus/PRWEB) March 02, 2011

Macron Dynamics Inc., a manufacturer of linear actuators, linear motion components, and custom mechanical motion systems, showed up prominently in New York City this past winter when their MacSTANDARD MSA-M6S linear actuators were used to power the robotic Pop-Tart® Varietizer in New York City’s Pop Tarts World™.

From August 2010 through December 2010, Pop-Tarts® were featured in their own temporary store in Times Square. Named Pop Tarts World™, the store featured four main attractions: The Pop Tart® Varietizer, a counter service restaurant called the Pop-Tarts World Cafe, a make-your-own T-shirt station, and an interactive media area.

A distributor of Macron’s supplied MacSTANDARD MSA-M6S actuators, which were noticeably placed on the front of the Pop-Tart® Varietizer, a large vending machine that required a robotic shuttle to provide X/Z motion to allow customer to create their own customized box of Pop-Tarts® from 23 different varieties.

Steve Evers, Director of Business Development, explains why motion within the Varietizer was unique: “The machine was very visual and involved internal movement by the pick and place mechanism while picking the selected Pop-Tarts® flavor. The apparatuses used for motion had to be precise, solid in appearance, and provide both horizontal and vertical motion.”

The solution was needed quickly, so MacSTANDARD linear actuators, which are readily available “off the shelf,” were the best fit while providing a clean look for the Varietizer. Two Macron 6’s provided the Z axis motion, and a third provided the X axis motion. A Macron gantry connection kit provided coupling to the Z axis assembly.

“The customer can watch the actuators move to select the Pop-Tart® chosen for the customized box. It’s a basic X and Z gantry automation system” says Evers. “Macron linear actuators have been used in the past for other vending and food service applications, but never for something as unique as the Pop Tart® Varietizer.”

Macron’s MacSTANDARD MSA-M6S linear actuators are available in any length up to 2.5 meters. Add-ons such as sensors, extra carts, and stainless steel components are available for further customization.

“It was exciting for Macron to be part of Pop Tarts World™. Creative robotics applications, like the Pop Tart® Varietizer, make working in the linear motion industry fun,” says Evers. Evers notes that Macron can evaluate and match its diverse product mix to meet almost any product manufacturing specifications, like they did for the Varietizer.

Getting A Dishwasher That Is Up To The Job: Classeq’s Advice On Choosing a First Commercial Dishwasher

            Classeq Duo 500

            (Vocus/PRWEB) 3 March 2011

Many smaller premises such as B & Bs, farmhouse tearooms and small start-up cafes are tempted to struggle on with a domestic dishwasher as they build up their business. However, this can be a false economy as domestic dishwashers are not built to withstand the heavy use of a commercial operation, and in fact commercial machines are cheaper to run.

Whereas domestic dishwashers are usually designed to perform one wash per day, a commercial machine is designed to go through 30 washes or more per day. As throughput increases, the cycle time of the machine becomes a critical factor and domestic machines struggle to keep up with demand. “A domestic machine usually takes between 45 to 90 minutes per cycle, which is a long time to wait to turn dishes around,” explains Nick Burridge of Classeq. “But our smallest model, the Duo 500, only takes 3 minutes per cycle.”

The Duo 500 is perfect for those who need to step up to a commercial machine. It’s a small and affordable front loading dishwasher with a footprint of only 470mm x 550mm and height of 760mm. All Classeq’s machines are built in the UK ensuring prompt delivery, comprehensive back-up and speedy access to spare parts. Built for safety, simple clear controls ensure that any member of staff can easily use the Duo 500, while integral chemical dosing pumps ensure accurate dispensing of detergents, saving operators time and money. It has a double-skinned cabinet which makes it quieter in operation and cooler to the touch. The Duo 500’s extremely low capacity wash tank, only 10 litres, means a quicker start-up time and lower bills as there is less water to heat than in comparable models. Another energy-saving feature is its full-coverage filter system which keeps the wash water cleaner for longer, resulting in fewer water changes, cleaner plates and lower energy bills.

The Duo 500 is available through Classeq’s nationwide dealer network.

Coffee maker cuisine? What kinds of food can you make with a coffee maker?

Question by Alex M: Coffee maker cuisine? What kinds of food can you make with a coffee maker?
I already know the obvious, ramen, mac & cheese, vegetables, oatmeal, soup, pasta, rice, hot cocoa.. coffee obviously, I heard that you can make pancakes on the warmer part, but I’ve looked all through what Mr. Google says and can find very little information on the topic. Does anyone else know what you can make? And I know i could just get a hotplate, but I’m moving around and want to find that one small appliance that can do anything, and I believe the coffee maker is it!

              Best answer:

              Answer by Coachstoll
I still think a small hot plate would be better. You can still make coffee but you can control the heating temp and it gets hotter so you can cook meats and basically make any one pot recipe. There are several nice, cheap single burner hot plates out there that would even take less room in packing/moving.

What coffee maker does not use plastic tanks and pipes so that we don’t get plastic in our coffee?

Question by DrDave822: What coffee maker does not use plastic tanks and pipes so that we don’t get plastic in our coffee?
Nearly every drip coffee maker has a plastic heating tank and all have plastic pipes to bring hot water to the coffee grounds. I am concerned that many people are drinking plastic along with their coffee – and most plastics are toxic. I have contacted several of the most popular manufacturers – none uses stainless steel for delivery pipes and only a few pots have a stainless steel tank. Considering how many people use these drip coffee makers, it seems a serious public health concern.

                Best answer:

                Answer by Sugar Pie
If you’re so petrified of plastic, get an old-fashioned metal drip pot. You put coffee in a holder over the pot, then top it w/ a water holder. Pour in hot water and let it drip thru. Simple, and you can probably find onein an antique store somewhere, unless some hippiesin CA make some modern-day ones.
